Welded Blade Stabilizers are designed
to give optimum wear performance in most
formations. The body is machined from
AISI 4140/ 4145H modified alloy steel
and full length heattreated. The blades
are manufactured from mild steel, and
welded to the body following exacting
pre-heating, welding and post-heating
specifications. For blade attachment,
there is an upset portion of a diameter
larger than the neck. This increases the
strength and life of the body, and reduces
bending stress on the welds. Tungsten
carbide is applied to the OD and leading
edges of the blades before they are ground
to hole size.
OCTL Welded Blade Stabilizers
are available with spiral or straight
blades in 3 or 4 blade configurations
giving 360 degree coverage. All connections
are machined to API Specifications and
fitted with pressed steel thread protectors. |
